CAR SHIPPING FAQ

Most frequent car shipping questions

Your total price is calculated by how hard it is to haul your vehicle(s). That includes several factors such as: the distance of origin and destination, the vehicle year, make and model. If it is not operable, it will be more expensive. The same with older vehicles. However, while long distance travels will cost more, it will cost less per mile.

Door-to-Door service means that an auto transport company picks up and delivers a vehicle as close to the specified addresses as possible, rather than at a central terminal. We do provide Door-to-Door services. However, in some cases, if a truck cannot safely access a location due to narrow roads, low overhangs, or other restrictions, the vehicle may need to be picked up or delivered at a nearby safe location.

No, all the dates are windows and projections. As there could be unexpected factors (traffic, weather, road battling). As such, keep that information in mind. We’ll contact you ahead of time if there’s any delays or earlier updates.

You can only put a few personal belongings in your car. Such as 1-2 bags in the trunk. The reason why is that our company hauls vehicles, not household goods. When a vehicle is stuffed with personal items, then the carrier (us) will get fined and it will most likely be passed to you. In addition, the personal items will make the vehicle go over the weight limit hindering the delivery time.

Yes! Your vehicle is covered by our cargo insurance, so you don’t need to worry. We also ensure that any carriers we partner with have valid and up-to-date insurance coverage.

It’s important to carefully review the Bill of Lading (BOL) when your vehicle is picked up. Any pre-existing damage will be noted there, and damage listed on the BOL may affect your claim.

When your vehicle is delivered, inspect it thoroughly before signing the BOL, as this document releases the carrier from liability once signed. If you notice any damage that was caused by the driver, contact us immediately. We will guide you on filing a claim using either our insurance or the carrier’s insurance.

No you do not necessary have to be there. It can be you, a friend, a family member, a dealer, etc. Someone simply needs to be present on both pick up and drop off to sign the Bill of Lading. Either our dispatch team or driver will contact you. However, we don’t recommend leaving the car unattended because the Bill of Lading won’t be signed.

Yes! Our dispatch team can provide updates on your vehicle’s status throughout transport. We’ll keep you informed of any schedule changes or delays.

Booking times can vary significantly depending on several factors:

  • Route Popularity: High-demand routes may have more frequent carrier availability, allowing for shorter lead times.

  • Vehicle Type: Standard vehicles are typically easier to accommodate, while specialty or oversized vehicles might require more time to arrange.

  • Seasonal Demand: During peak seasons or holidays, it’s advisable to book earlier due to increased demand.

While some customers successfully arrange transport just a few days in advance, others prefer to plan several weeks ahead to ensure availability and secure preferred dates. We recommend reaching out as soon as you have your transport dates in mind to discuss options and ensure a smooth process.
